The run action is a move action that allows a character to move up to the character's regular movement speed plus 2 squares.
When running you suffer the following penalties:
- -5 to all your attack rolls until the start of your next turn.
- You grant combat advantage to all enemies until the start of your next turn.
- You provoke opportunity attacks each time you leave a threatened square.
