Mounted Combat is a heroic tier feat available to all player characters.
When a character with the Mounted Combat feat rides a mount, the rider gains access to the special mount abilities, if any, the mount confers to a rider. In addition, the mount can use the rider's base skill check bonus instead of its own for Acrobatics, Athletics, Endurance, or Stealth checks, if the rider's is higher.[PH:199]
