A khopesh is a military one-handed melee weapon in the axe and heavy blade weapon groups.[AV:9]
A khopesh has the brutal 1 property, so when rolling damage with a khopesh, any die showing a natural roll of 1 is rerolled until it shows a natural roll of 2 or higher. It is also a versatile weapon, so medium characters may wield it two-handed to deal 1 extra damage. Small characters must wield it two-handed, and they deal no extra damage for doing so.
Ardents, avengers, barbarians, battleminds, fighters, paladins, rangers, wardens, and warlords are proficient with all military melee weapons, including the khopesh.
Other classes do not have proficiency with the khopesh as a class trait, but any character can become proficient by taking a Weapon Proficiency feat.
