DevelopmentEdit

The elf ability bonus was originally +2 Dexterity and +2 Wisdom.[PH:40] The Essentials update and subsequent books changed the bonus to +2 Dexterity, and either +2 Intelligence or +2 Wisdom.[U:E]

The Neverwinter Campaign Setting introduced the concept of subraces, as well as the elf subraces wild elf[NCS:51] and wood elf.[NCS:52]
