The D&D Character Builder is an application published by Wizards of the Coast. It generates printable character sheets and power cards for 4th edition characters.
The Character Builder was originally available as an offline .NET executable, with an open beta released in 2008, and updates every one to two months through October 2010. There was also a demo version of the Character Builder, which supported up to 3rd-level characters. After October 2010, the Character Builder became an online-only web application only available to D&D Insider subscribers.
